Do you know that in Indonesia there is a day called “National Blogger’s Day”. That day is celebrated at October 27th. I myself know about this fact just recently. This day was established by The Minister of Communication and Information, Mr M. Nuh on 2007. This is the party day for every blogger in the country.

By the way, why the hell Mr. Nuh came up with such a day? I don’t have any idea. Maybe, because he was in charge of national’s communication and information and blog is an integral media of Internet. Or he wanted to encouraged Indonesia’s citizens to sharpen their writing skill. Considering human nature to share things they have, blogging is the perfect place for it (contrary to social network I think).

I don’t really consider this is a special day. After all, this is the first time I heard it. I do not prepare anything for the day, nor I hear any significant news or celebration of the day. October 27th passed just like that with weeks with empty post in it. Well, at that time, the owners just at his lower point of laziness it seems. Actually, he knows about the existence of the blogger’s day earlier at beginning of the month when some community don’t know why invited him to an event about blog and youngster. The invitation said that blogger’s day is October 5th (in fact, later I know it’s 27th). The invitation did not go well, so.. Forget it.

Tahukah Anda? Tanggal 27 Oktober adalah Hari Blogger Nasional. Saya juga baru tahu keberadaan hari ini. Hari ini dicanangkan oleh Menteri Komunikasi dan Informasi, Bapak M. Nuh, pada tahun 2007. Hari dimana para blogger berpesta ria.

Ngomong-ngomong, ngapain Pak Nuh ngadain hari blogger nasional segala ya. Mungkin karena blog adalah media integral dari Komunikasi dan Informasi kali ya. Internet. Atau juga untuk mendorong warga supaya rajin berkarya lewat tulisan. Mengingat sifat alami manusia untuk saling berbagi pikiran, blog adalah sarana yang paling tepat (dibanding jejaring sosial tentunya).

Karena saya baru tahu ttg keberadaan hari ini, saya tidak terlalu menganggap hari ini istimewa. Tidak mempersiapkan apa-apa. Pada saat 27 Oktober terlewat pun, tulisan di blog ini masih tertinggal beberapa minggu. Penulisnya lagi malas sepertinya. Sebenarnya dia sudah tahu dari awal bulan sih, saat ada sebuah komunitas yg entah mengapa mengundangnya dalam sebuah acara tentang blog. Kata si pengundang dulu hari blogger itu tanggal 5 Oktober (yang ternyata tanggal 27). Undangan itu tidak berlangsung lancar jadi, oke lah…

Yah, meskipun begitu, Selamat Hari Blogger Nasional aja deh.
